Abstract
This poem communicates a moment between the writer (in her mid-twenties at the time) and her grandmother, when the writer was awaiting a diagnosis for sudden blackouts and extreme fatigue. More specifically, it addresses how patients, and those close to them, struggle among accepting, denying, and fighting against a medical diagnosis, or lack thereof.
