Abstract
Individuals living with rare diseases and their families wait in desperation for up to decades for access to an FDA approved treatment. This article tells the story of a mother and son who visited a clean lab where enzyme replacement treatment was manufactured for clinical trials. The short tour proved life-changing for the author and her son.
