Abstract

This piece is a mixture of prose and poetry in which my personal experience of both induced abortion and miscarriage is told through first-person narration. A more essay-like second section briefly deals with linguistic differences and the importance of medical terminology in the description and telling of perinatal loss stories and experiences, most importantly from a mother/woman-centered approach.
