Abstract
Critical and emergency care are especially vulnerable to detachment and other patient care challenges that may affect both staff and patient experiences, perspectives and outcomes. This epoch comprises thoughts within an emergency medical experience, and reaches out to care providers and other personnel to consider their self care, their interpersonal relationship with each patient and the system they work within to be attuned to each's historical, personal and environmental traumas.
