KVSC-FM (88.1 on the FM dial) is an educational public radio station licensed to St. Cloud State University. The station is student-run and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The first day of broadcast was on May 10, 1967.

In March 1980, KVSC, partnering with the Inter Residence Hall Association, began the trivia contest weekend that has become the station's most popular and largest programming event. Created initially to give St. Cloud State dormitory students something to do over a long weekend, the trivia contest was based on the same type of event held in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, every year but has grown and evolved over time.
