These oral histories were done in 2014 and 2015 by alum and long-time administrator Margaret Vos to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair, which was first held in July 9, 1974 as the "Campus Mall-American Festival." It was held to dedicate the new campus mall area between Stewart Hall, Atwood Memorial Center, Brown Hall, and Centennial Hall on the campus of St. Cloud State University.

Held again on July 17, 1975, the event was renamed the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair. Since 1999, the event has happened on the last Thursday of June. A St. Cloud State tradition put on every year since 1974, the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
