Abstract
Autism spectrum disorders (ASD or autism) can present with differences in emotion regulation, including emotion experience. This starred paper reviews eight case studies examining the differences in emotion experiences, differences in emotion regulation, and the use of cognitive behavior therapy to address emotion regulation for individuals with autism.
