Abstract
Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) is an evidence-based practice to improve student performance. The review of literature consists of 11 studies to identify success factors of PALS to improve student reading and language skills. The three main success factors reported in the review are: high fidelity of implementation, peer-mediated activity with increased student participation, and explicit instruction.
