Abstract
The purpose of this starred paper was to review the literature regarding different teaching or warm-up models as well as finding out which model is the most effective. The research is focused on how this affects secondary math students. Chapter 1 briefly summarizes the research questions, what the focus of those topics will be throughout the paper, and the importance of this topic as it pertains to secondary special education math teaching. Chapter 2 identifies three different teaching methods used in math classes as well as case studies that analyze the effectiveness of each method. Chapter 3 identifies the findings in my research as well as recommendations for the future.
