SCSU Journal of Student Scholarship

SCSU Journal of Student Scholarship

About This Journal

The St. Cloud State University Journal of Student Scholarship is a university and system-level publication created to showcase undergraduate and graduate student work of St. Cloud State University (SCSU) students. The journal also accepts submissions of student work from any Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (MN State) institution. The first publication (Volume 1, Special Issue No. 1) was a co-publication of manuscripts submitted to the Proceedings of the 9th Annual Minnesota State Conference of Undergraduate Scholarly and Creative Activity – and also marked the first time that manuscripts were accepted as student work for that conference. This first edition was published in September 2020, based on several years of foundational work by Dr. Latha Ramakrishnan (SCSU Interim Provost for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies) and Rachel Wexelbaum (SCSU Library). Important work to assemble the content of the first issue was completed by Dr. John Sinko (SCSU Department of Physics & Astronomy) and Dr. Kelly Branam Macauley (SCSU Department of Anthropology). Tom Steman (Archivist, SCSU Library) and Rhonda Huisman (Dean, SCSU Library) organized and facilitated the initial publication of the journal via bepress / digitalcommons in the SCSU Institutional Repository in Fall 2020. Issues in Volume 2 of JOSS will feature regular student scholarly submissions through 2029
