SCSU Journal of Student Scholarship

SCSU Journal of Student Scholarship

Aims & Scope

The primary aim of the St. Cloud State University Journal of Student Scholarship (SCSU JOSS) is to provide an online portal for current St. Cloud State University (SCSU) and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System (MN State) undergraduate and graduate students to publish editorially- and/or peer-reviewed scholarly, research, and creative work. The scope of this journal is intentionally broad, encompassing any scholarly, research, or creative work undertaken in whole or in part by undergraduate or graduate students who are students of or affiliated with SCSU, MN State, or an academic event organized by one of the aforementioned entities. All works submitted for publication to this journal must include at least one student author. Faculty, staff, or external partners are allowed to be co-authors; however, as a journal focused upon student scholarship, it is expected that in all submissions, the student contribution to all works should be meaningful and significant. Special Issues of the journal, created at the discretion of the Editorial Board, may have a more narrowly defined scope within scholarly, research, or creative work. The Editorial Board plans to publish at least one issue per year, and may eventually publish separate series showcasing student work in different categories of scholarly, research, or creative activity.
